MRLC Basic Stereomicroscope Stand with Black / White Stage Plate

These are our favorite basic stereomicroscope stands with coarse focus, 76mm head holder, and large 160mm black / white stage plate.  We have used, sold, and serviced stereostands from all major manufacturers and economical imports, and these have become our favorites for several reasons:

• Sturdy mid-sized footprint with large 160mm b/w stage plate
• Standard 76mm holder for most stereo microscopes  from Leica, Nikon, Olympus, Zeiss, Motic, Unitron
• Smooth coarse focus movement that holds its position, with comfortable rubberized knobs
• Economical price < $300

The feel and quality of the focus mechanism, and the fact that we rarely if ever have had to adjust the tension on them, is the main reason we and our customers like these.  We utilize these as our go-to stands for many of our new and used stereomicroscopes.  One large medical device manufacturer that purchased a quantity of microscopes on these stands many years ago recently updated all the zoom microscope heads, but kept these stands because they were still in great condition and their operators love them.
